Graduate Minor in Real Estate

An option for many professional graduate students at Cornell

Professional graduate students from most any discipline at Cornell are invited to enroll in the Graduate Minor in Real Estate. The minor gives professional graduate students across the university the opportunity to take advantage of the wide variety of real estate courses offered by the Cornell Baker Program in Real Estate.

Upon successful completion of the required classes, the Graduate Minor in Real Estate designation will appear on students’ official Cornell transcript.

The Graduate Minor in Real Estate at Cornell University is fulfilled with a minimum of five courses, totaling a minimum of 15 credit hours. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required in the coursework completed for the minor.

HOW TO APPLY

REQUIRED COURSEWORK
Students, except those in the MMH program, must complete the following required courses totaling nine credits:

  • HADM 6200 Principles of Real Estate (3 credits)
  • CRP 5320 Real Estate Development Process I (1.5 credits) AND CRP 5321 Real Estate Development Process II (1.5 credits) OR HADM 6255 Real Estate Development (3 credits)
  • HADM 6280 Real Estate Finance and Investments (3 credits) OR HADM 6210 Hospitality Real Estate Finance

MMH students must complete the following required courses totaling nine credits:

  • HADM 6200 Principles of Real Estate (3 credits)
  • HADM 7510 Properties Development and Planning (3 credits)
  • HADM 6280 Real Estate Finance and Investments (3 credits) OR HADM 6210 Hospitality Real Estate Finance

ELECTIVE COURSEWORK
All students must take a minimum of three credits from each of the below categories. You may use six credits from the enrichment category to meet all elective requirements of the minor. Course enrollment may be subject to prerequisites. Course availability changes each semester and not all courses may be offered each semester. Approved elective courses include:
