Baker Program in Real Estate Distinguished Speaker Series- Kate Bicknell, AAP '99
Kate Bicknell is a Senior Vice President of Commercial & Residential Development at Forest City Ratner Companies (Forest City). Ms. Bicknell leads Forest City’s Cornell Tech project, including the development of The Bridge at Cornell Tech, which will be the first building built to bring together academia and industry on campus. In addition to her role at Cornell Tech, Ms. Bicknell has spent the past 11 years in a leadership role in the development of Pacific Park Brooklyn, a $4.9 billion, 22-acre public-private partnership, anchored by Barclays Center. Prior to joining Forest City, Ms. Bicknell worked as a Legislative Aide to the late Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan and was the Federal Policy Director for Smart Growth America. In addition Ms. Bicknell worked in Goldman Sachs’ Municipal Finance Group and for Cherokee Investment Partners, a brownfields private equity firm. Ms. Bicknell holds an MBA from The Wharton School, and a BS in Urban Studies from Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art and Planning where she currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council.
