Alex Klatskin is a General Partner of Forsgate Industrial Partners, a private industrial real estate development and investment firm based in Teterboro, New Jersey. Forsgate has built and owns ten million square feet of industrial property. Forsgate’s recent clients include L’Oreal, FedEx, Coca-Cola, Hyundai Motor and Dassault. Before joining Forsgate in 1992, he was with the New York City architectural firm of Kohn, Pedersen, Fox and Associates, working on commercial projects in London and New York. Alex is a member of the Board of Regents of the American Architectural Foundation, is member of the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects, and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Washington, DC based Real Estate Roundtable. Alex was the 2011 National Chairman of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. At NAIOP, he was also the 2003-2004 President of the New Jersey Chapter. He has been a visiting architectural critic and/or lecturer at Columbia University, MIT, Cornell University, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Miami, Cooper Union, University of Michigan, Florida A&M, and the Illinois Institute of Technology. Alex has also lectured for many industry groups, including the American Bar Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Architectural League of New York, and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. Alex holds a BS from the University of Illinois and a Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland. He is a Registered Architect in New York, New Jersey and the District of Columbia, and a licensed Professional Planner in New Jersey. He lives in New York City with his wife and their two children.
