John Cokinos joined the leveraged finance, high yield and leverage loan capital market team at RBC Capital Markets in March 2014. He spent the last 7 years at Bank America Merrill Lynch, where his last role was head of leverage finance capital markets. In his prior role, he oversaw the high yield and leverage loan businesses and was a voting member on all leverage finance commitment and underwriting committees. In addition, Mr. Cokinos had capital markets coverage responsibilities for Industrials, Healthcare, Financials, Gaming, Lodging and Real Estate. Before joining BAML, Mr. Cokinos worked at Lehman Brothers from 1998 until 2007 with his last role as a managing director in high yield capital markets and leverage finance. He is a graduate of Cornell University with a BS in Business Administration, class of 1995. He resides in Manhattan with his wife and three children. Mr. Cokinos is board member of the Fiver Children’s Foundation, a non-profit organization that help youths in New York City.
